~~ New Year ~~ New Day ~~ New Beginnings ~~

Took this photo in December at a cemetery in Arnold, Mo.  What a sight to see.  God's wondrous artwork with a beautiful sunset. Almost like a symbol of the "sunset" of 2013.  It was a good / bad year.   Great year with my love:  Tom.  We did many, many fun things…. and… he surprised me on Christmas Day by proposing on bended knee, with a beautiful ring he chose himself.  Wow, life is amazing!…… of Course I said "Yes" !!!!!   I am so blessed.

Highlight of my summer '13:   Autumn spent about 7 or 8 weeks with me while her mom worked.  We did a bunch of things: both fun, and work (she is 12, but is a Really hard worker!).  She is our "adopted" granddaughter.  What a blessing with a lovely young lady.

Not-so-good 2013:  started in January healing from 2 cracked ribs (due to coughing from pneumonia).  Another bout of pneumonia in April. And in October, found out I have a prolapsed heart valve with regurgitation. ( part of valve flap goes backwards).  Makes me out of breath and tired.  Doc says no surgery at this time, but probably in the future…. I pray to Not ever need surgery on it… but time will tell…. my life is in God's hands.

Tom and I regularly attend Crosspoint Church, in South County. Very good choir and band there, and we love the pastors, especially Shawn Craig.  Good messages based on the Bible.  People are very friendly.
We only went kayaking a few times this past summer, hope to do more this year.  Fun times with Alma (Tom's mom), CC,  Leanna, Nic, and Autumn, Ed and Maggie, Inga and Randy, and many others.  Still going to a few MeetUps.  Life is Very busy and hectic.  Last year Alma was in and out of hospital many times, but This year she is much stronger, and active at her home in Crystal Oaks.  We get to visit often and bring her with us on winery and restaurant excursions. She is a pistol!!!

Sparkplug has officially adopted Tom as her Dad.  She just adores him. Plus she is a little spoiled.  You will hear from her soon (she sleeps late). Ha.

Have a blessed day.  Share God's word and His love.  Smile and give someone a hug.

Verse of the day,  Deuteronomy 6:4-5 NIV:   Hear, O Israel:  The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
