Some of you are aware that I have a very caring, special man in my life: Tom. He surprises me with
flowers at unexpected times. Oh, guess that is the definition of a "surprise" huh? It always amazes me how he puts such love into the day.
I have been through a lot of anguish and pain in the course of my 6+ decades (who hasn't - right?).... and I am so thankful for the gift of this man's love. We have opened a bed-and-breakfast in his beautiful log home, ( www.heavenlyoaksbedandbreakfast.com ) and have been blessed with interesting guests from all walks of life. Most of our guests are through Air B&B, or Vacation Rental By Owner (VRBO), thus not requiring us to cook them a "breakfast". We do, however, supply them with snacks, juice, and danish or some other sweets for their first day. Plus always have fresh flowers to greet them.
Folks readily comment on how friendly and accommodating we are. We believe in treating people as we want to be treated. The point of my blog today is to address current attitudes of modern society. Overall: helpful and friendly. Isolated: mean and hurtful. Please don't let the few "bad" seeds of society taint your view of humankind as a whole. I believe in sharing and caring my way through life. Quite possibly this could be the answer to living a full and prosperous life.
Today do something surprising (and supportive) for someone you love, or someone you care for, maybe even a neighbor or acquaintance. A seemingly small act of kindness could be the catalyst for that person to have an awesome day. Remember: caring, sharing, kindness.... should be in your thoughts and actions every day.
Sending positive thoughts out through the universe. Have a happy day and God bless each one of you.

Verse of the Day:
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:12 NIV
Today's passage is from the New International Version. Read by Max McLean. Provided by The Listener's Audio Bible. Bible Gateway.
***** I just had to add this footnote: I looked up the Verse of the Day... AFTER I had written this blog entry... now tell me that this verse in isn't true... (goosebumps!!)
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
